Ingredients
Green squash
Ground beef
One chopped onion
2 garlic cloves
Salt and pepper
Fried mint
Half gallon milk
Butter cube 1 cup broth chicken or beef
Salt and pepper
Step-By-Step Preparation
Squash
1. Slice the squash lengthwise after peeling it
2. In a pan heat 2 tablespoons of butter , add 1 ground glove, Sauté the garlic
3. Place the long squash slices, flip each side until it gets golden brown color
4. Season it a little with salt, pepper and dried mint, then put aside
Ground beef
1. In another pan, prepare the ground beef
2. Caramelize the ground onion then add the ground beef
3. Add pepper and 1 ground garlic clove
4. Stir till it's almost cooked then add salt and cover till its fully cooked
Bechamel sauce
1. Blend milk with a cup of flour in the blender
2. Pour it into a pot on medium heat
3. Keep stirring until it thickens then add the broth
4. Beat eggs with salt pepper then add to mixture and quickly stir it in
Assembly
1. In a Pyrex tray, layer the squash on the bottom of the pan, then layer the ground beef, then add to mixture and quickly stir it in
2. Pour the bechamel on top and distribute it evenly
3. Bake in oven 375 for 30 min or until bechamel top is backed
Secret Tips
By blender the flour and milk in a blender, then heating on a pan, that actually makes it lighter and healthier because you don’t need to use as much butter .it still tastes great and the consistency is good with no. clumps
