Hummus AL Sham (Halabsa)

This Egyptian drink was given to us by Zeniab Abdin.

Ingredients

1. 1 Canned Garbanzo Beans

2. 8Oz Tomato Can

3. 1 medium yellow onion chapped

4. 2 garlic cloves 

5. 1 Tsp salt, black paper, ground

cumin, chili powder (spices)

6. 1 lemon

7. 2 Tsp olive oil

8. 4 cups of water

Step-By-Step Preparation

1. In pot add heat the olive oil then add onion

and garlic strike

2. Add tomato sauce and Garbanzo can

3. Add the water and all spices

4. Leave the hummus (Garbanzo) over a

high heat until boiling, then low the

heat, and cover it for 15 minutes.

5. You should serve it hot, also you do

not need a bread you can use your

spoon.

6. You can add some lemon juice and

slices to garnish the glass cups.
